Yoga classes consist of relaxation,guided meditation, mindfulness, breathing, asanas (postures) to strengthen, tone and stretch all major muscle groups in a non competitive environment. Janice teaches a mix of hatha and vinyasa flow with influences from her Sivananda background. Modifications of poses are introduced for beginners or people with injuries
Regular practice of yoga helps to condition your mind and body to relax more effectively, bringing inner peace, tranquility, feelings of well being and positive energy. You will leave the class feeling more relaxed and rejuvenated. Classes are small and friendly to allow a more personal experience and I can help you with small adjustments when necessary.
Wear loose clothing and try not to eat anything heavy for a couple of hours before the class. Please bring your own yoga mat. You can borrow a mat for the first class if requested.
